Data Deletion

How to remove your data from Checked · Last updated October 30, 2026

You are always in control of your data in Checked. There are three ways to have it deleted, and all of them permanently remove the connected-account records and encrypted access tokens we hold for you.

Option 1 — Disconnect inside Checked

In Checked, open your connected Facebook Page and choose Disconnect. We immediately delete the stored data and access token for that Page.

Option 2 — Revoke access from Facebook

You can remove Checked’s access directly from Facebook:

  • Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations → select Checked → Remove.

When you remove access this way, Facebook notifies us automatically and we delete your stored data through our data-deletion callback.

Option 3 — Email us

Prefer we handle it? Email [email protected] from the address on your account, or with enough detail to identify your connected accounts, and ask us to delete your data. We’ll confirm once it’s done.

What gets deleted

  • The record of the Facebook Page you connected to Checked.
  • The encrypted access token issued for that Page.
  • Associated comment data we stored to show and let you reply to it.

We may keep minimal records where the law requires it; everything else for that connection is permanently removed.

For developers & reviewers

Checked implements Facebook’s Data Deletion Request callback. When a user removes the app, Facebook sends a signed request to our callback endpoint; we verify it, delete that user’s stored data, and return a confirmation code and a status URL that resolves to this page.
